Academic Programs

RUSART's Academic program are for kids and grown ups who like structure and willing to learn fundamentals. We split courses for different age group: 6-10 and Teens+Adults with focus on different aspects of learning art. Over 10 courses will be offered to each age category to cover basics of all mediums (drawing, watercolour, acrylic, gouache, oil, pastel) and subjects (still lives, landscapes, animals, floral, figurative). Also, we offer art history courses.

Kids 6-10 yrs.

6-10 yrs. Colour Theory and Use

8 sessions, 1.5 hr each

This course is not only about mixing colours, myths and reality, but also about colour use to show mood, emphasis contrast, show time of a day, how to paint snow in the morning/day/night, how to show moonlight, sunlight and indoor light, what colours to use for light and shadows and much more. Must have for any young artists!

During this course kids will learn how to use watercolour in a proper way. They'll explore washing, wet on wet, dry and other techniques as well as watercolou and ink and watercolour pencils. Also, they'll try intuitive painting along with classical subjects, such as still life, landscape and anilmal painting.
