Description
FINE PRINT: Angelos set has an authentic artifact aged over 820 years.
Angelos set has a necklace and earrings. A central pice is an authentic Byzantine aspron trachy coin, belonging to Alexius III Angelus-Comnenus reign (1195-1202 AD). One side of the pendant shows KE ROHQEI around, IC-XC to left and right of nimbate, bust of Christ facing, right hand raised, holding scroll in left / ALEZIW DECP O KWNTANTI, Alexius, crowned, and St Constantine, nimbate, each wearing divitision and loros, both standing facing, each holding a labarum and the two holding a cross on globe (sometimes a patriarchal cross on globe) between them.
This pendant was gently restored by me. Unfortunately, Christ image is not shown so well as Alexius and St Constantine side.
This artifact is nicely framed with copper, amethyst and apatite. In the Bible, the color purple is associated with the rich, with royalty, and with authority. Purple also refers to Jesus as the King of kings and he lives and rules in the hearts of those who are his.
